What lives under the sea?
In this geography driver, we will be exploring the geography and history curriculum by diving deep into the sea! As geographers, we will extend our knowledge of our local area to look at the world’s seven continents and five oceans. We will investigate some of the most significant human and physical features of surrounding areas by the sea. We will make comparisons to our own local area and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of living near the sea.
We will revisit and progress our geographical skills and fieldwork by using maps, atlases to identify the oceans surrounding the UK. We will deepen our knowledge of the sea by exploring the different habitats and species that live under the sea. We will also build upon our scientific skills by investigating how deep the ocean is.
Through revisiting and progressing our skills and learning, these golden nuggets of knowledge will be embedded in our long-term memories!
