We had a very interesting morning learning about the work of the Black Country Foodbank. They help so many people in Dudley Sandwell and Walsall .Thank-you for all your help.
Started in June 2006, The Black Country Food Bank is a Christian-based charitable organisation set up to feed local people experiencing real hardship by meeting their most basic need for food. Local people, churches and other organisations in and around the Black Country are joining together to be part of a project that makes a real difference to the lives of those in crisis.
Every year during Harvest and Lent we show witness to our faith by supporting this local charity. Each family brings in items from the list either food or toiletries and they are then collected by the Food Bank to help people in our own local area.
