In RE we explored the different places we have in school where we can pray. We thought about how we feel in these places 🙏🏻

Today we went to forest school to find the signs of autumn. We recorded our data in a table! 🍂

Praying the Holy Rosary with Pope Francis and 1 million children around the world 🙏🏻

Year One led Liturgy & Prayer based on the Rosary today. We then learned all about the ‘Glory Be’ which is a traditional prayer of the Church 🙏🏻

Year One reflected upon the different conversations we can have with God through prayer. We are very thankful for a lot of things! 🙏🏻

Year One have had so much fun learning all about Space today! We have explored the different planets and even got to go in the space dome! 🪐

Prayer & Liturgy focusing on the season of Creation 🌎

Father Stefan came to talk to Year One today all about the signs and gestures we see in the Mass. We go to try the bread and try on Father’s vestments. Thank you so much Father Stefan!!

Year One led the school in a beautiful Mass this week all about the memorial of St Theodore of Canterbury. Well done to you all, we are so proud! 🙏🏻

In active maths this week we have been practising counting on and back from numbers, we have enjoyed a range of counting activities to support our learning.

Today in RE, we used role play to explore the Sacrament of Baptism. A very important celebration in the Church. We also shared our baptism photos with each other and spoke about our special day 🙏🏻

Today in science we started our Seasonal Changes topic. We looked at what was the most suitable clothing for autumn and summer! We had fun dressing up!

Active Maths! 🧮

During our Building the Kingdom Day we explored what it means to be united within our school, local and global community. We began to learn about the key features of the UK and how we are all united!

Today we had VR exploring all about the United Kingdom. We are so excited to begin our new Building the Kingdom topic! 🇬🇧

Today in RE we explored the work of St Francis of Assisi who is our class saint. We are in awe of the work he did and we thought about how we can live like him!
