Being Active

Being Active

At our OLSK, we strongly believe in the importance of physical activity as a key component of a child’s overall development. Being active not only helps improve physical health but also plays a crucial role in enhancing mental well-being. Regular exercise has numerous benefits, including increased energy levels, improved coordination, and better focus, which can positively impact a child's academic performance and concentration in the classroom. Physical activity also reduces stress, boosts mood, and builds resilience, equipping children with essential life skills.

We encourage students to be active throughout the school day, whether through PE lessons, active play during breaks, or engaging in extracurricular activities. These activities provide a well-rounded approach to physical fitness, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for movement. Beyond school hours, we believe it’s equally important to promote an active lifestyle at home. Families can support their child’s physical well-being by encouraging outdoor play, walking or cycling together, or participating in local sports or recreational activities.

By creating a positive environment where being active is fun and rewarding, we help children develop healthy habits that will benefit them both now and in the future. We are committed to helping our students build a strong foundation for lifelong health and well-being, both in and outside of school.
