Today is all about settling into Year One. We are going to have a very exciting year! Please see below some activities to get to know the rules in Year One. I would also love to hear about what you might've done over the summer holidays! 

We are recapping the PANTS rules in class today! Please talk about the PANTS rules below and watch the video. After you have done this you can decorate a pair of pants and then complete the trusted adults sheet. What adults do you trust and why? Can you draw a picture of them and name them?

Maths- We are having a Maths morning today! Please see a list of games and activities below that you can do to warm up your brain after the summer break. 

We are starting our place value topic today! Please see the PowerPoint below and the worksheet that can be completed alongside this.

RE-
We will be celebrating Mary's birthday on the 8th September. Please pick from some of the activities below to honour the patron saint of our school. You may want to make a birthday card for her, decorate a cake, write a prayer to her or tell us what things we may need to throw a party for Our Lady.

Maths- Please follow the PowerPoint and complete the worksheet for maths today. I have added some activities that you may want to do before or after you complete the work. 

Phonics- There is a reading, spelling and real and nonsense words activity below based on the 'ou' (shout it out sound).

RE- Today in RE we are exploring our CST theme for this half term (Family & Community) and our Gospel Virtues (Curious and Active).

On the Family & Community sheet I would like you to draw your family and tell me why they are important and the same with your community.

On the Gospel Virtues worksheet I would like you to draw something new you would like to learn or find out about this year and then show how you will make the world a better place.
