To celebrate “ Language Day” we came together as a “ Foundation Stage” in Reception to enjoy many exciting activities ( we made flags, passports , built famous buildings, even packed our cases to get on the plane) The children ate croissants 🥐 in the Cafe and listened to “ Going on a Bear Hunt” read by Mrs Brandrick our French Expert.
BONJOUR what a wonderful day we had celebrating “ Languages “ our focus was on France 🇫🇷. The children were really excited as they came to school dressed in Blue, White and Red to represent the flag. We started the day listening to French 🇫🇷 Music and dancing 💃 to it. All the children said “ Bonjour” to the register and shared their knowledge of France, some said their parents had been there “ we showed them landmarks- they were fascinated with “ The Eiffel Tower” We shared the “ Bear Hunt” story. The children were captivated with the story and actively got involved.
This afternoon we went on a real bear hunt! We had to use our detective eyes to find all of the bears hiding around the play ground and outdoor classroom. We had to look, under, over and next to the different furniture. 🧸
