RSHE Learning - Discussing and learning about emotions Freddie Teddy was worried we talked about things that worry us, recognise the emotions and what can we do. We thanked God for our friends and sang “ You’ve got a friend in me “ from Toy Story . We ended our session with a prayer in Mary’s Garden.

Maths Focus- learning about counting and using the language “ more than, less, fewer, how many altogether”. The children are beginning to notice when the number gets bigger or smaller. Their touch counting skills are developing and majority are showing a real understanding of number sense.

Wow how exciting it was to come to school in our pyjamas. The children loved sharing books,Stories and Rhymes in the tent ⛺️ We discussed our different bedtime routines and how important books are to us in Pre school and at home. We had so much fun acting out our weekly rhyme “ There were 10 in the Bed” wearing our PJs.

Physical Development- our focus is “ Jumping” and travelling whilst jumping which is quite challenging but the children are great a listening, following instructions and persevering. They are becoming really confident when using the various types of equipment and are beginning to explore different ways in which to use them and creating their own games individually or in small groups. We observed some super collaborative play led by the children, whilst remaining safe and on task.

I love Tuesday Mornings whereby we take the opportunity to CELEBRATE our AMAZING children. We chose a reader and writer of the week and present them with a certificate and we display their framed photo in Pre school for everyone to see. Also we chose two PE champions whom have shone out in our PE lessons and they are presented with a huge trophy .

Thank you Superheroes in Pre School you really did save the day, and rescued all our cuddly toys 🧸 You worked as a team and used your super powers.

Physical Development- Fine Motor Skills . The ways in which the children have opportunities to practice their manipulative skills- drawing, painting, pen control sheets, we even used forks to create our individual Lion 🦁 Faces. Also we are developing our mouse skills learning to drag and click.

Our younger family members went on a Pilgrimage to begin to learn about their faith. They spent time in the Peace Garden, Mary’s Chapel and Garden. They are becoming aware of precious statues within our grounds and how to behave in these different areas. Very RESPECTFUL ( this is developing their Personal, Social and Emotional Skills)

Pupil Prepared Prayer - The children are learning about the Sacrament of “ Marriage “ they heard the story “ The Wedding in Cana” from the Holy Bible. Please send in photos of Weddings so the children can talk to the group about them, drawing on their own experiences. This is developing their Understanding of the World they live in.

Ten Ten program whereby we are exploring how to stay “ Safe Inside and Out” it is thought provoking and gives the children the opportunity to discuss their thoughts and ideas with each other. These sessions develop their Personal, Social and Emotional Skills.

Maths Focus - the children had to roll the dice and find the superhero piece with the correct number on it The children were practicing turn taking, counting and number recognition. Also they practiced their counting skills outside with a large ball by bouncing it to match the number written on the playground.

Expressive, Arts and Design- WOW 🤩 look at our art work linked to our focus story “ The Lion Inside” they are all so unique.

Physical Development and Communication/ language Skills.

“VOCATION WEEK” the children loved welcoming a Police Officer and a Fire Fighter into school to hear about their occupation, share and discuss the equipment they use on a daily basis. The children had the opportunity to ask questions to find out more.

Physical Development on the Adventure Playground whereby the children were practicing their climbing, balancing, swinging, weaving, stepping and running skills.

Personal,Social and Emotional Development- the children playing alongside each other, engaging and forming new friendships. They are developing their sharing and turn taking skills.

RE Learning - whereby the children learnt about “The Empty Tomb” story from the Bible. We were so impressed with how much they could remember from prior learning and how engaged they were in the current one.

The children have enjoyed exploring the creative area and creating their own unique pictures of a Jungle when our focus story is set. This is developing their expressive, arts and design skills.

Our first coaching session we were Amazing 🤩 Athletics, team work and listening skills.

Our Role Play is a Theatre for the children to display their “ God Given Talents “ be it be singing 🎵, dancing, Jokes or free expression.

Mini London Marathon - Super proud of all our children and the parents who ran with us “ Keep Running “ 🏃‍♀️
