To promote our speaking and listening skills we have the opportunity to bring something special in from home to share with our peers. This also encourages us to ask questions and boosts our confidence.

Linked to our topic on “Celebrations “ the children have loved the story about Rama and Sita remembering the new vocabulary and the characters from the story . The children are fascinated with cleaning in the role play preparing their house for the Diwali making pretend food with the play dough and creating Rangoli patterns in the coloured rice. They have also explored the clay making diva lamps.

Our community French Day shared with Reception - we listened to “ Going on the Bear Hunt” read to us in French 🇫🇷

Our focus this term for our Catholic Social Teaching is “ Stewardship “ the children and families were so generous offering food and toiletries to families in our local area Truly thoughtful and kind and considering others..THANK YOU

Reading and sharing books are key in our setting - our children love stories. Twice a week we have a shared reading session enjoying fiction and non fiction books. We enjoy books inside pre school and outside it’s an opportunity to explore new vocabulary, go on a journey of expression and creativity. Sharing books, stories and rhymes is priceless and fundamental to your child’s learning “ building blocks” for their future.
