Half Term
There will be no homework coming home this half term. All we ask is for you to continue hearing your child read as often as possible - even books from home!
If your child wishes to do any extra learning I will add some 'to-dos' on their Purple Mash account. The link is below and their username's and passwords are the same they use for computing. We are currently studying 'Time' however the fractions games are also useful for them to do!
Aside from that, encourage your children to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!
Have a lovely half term, thank you for all your ongoing support!

Year 2 Art Project
Please may we ask for any carboard boxes/shoe boxes for our art project to be sent into school this week? Shoe boxes are perfect, or something of a similar size! We are starting to make our final pieces Thursday 21st May!
We will try to provide as many as we can ourselves, but any more would be very welcome!
Final projects will be able to be seen in our Art Exhibition on Friday 19th June at 2:30pm in the hall!
Thank you as always! Mrs P :)

We can't wait to celebrate with you! Thank you for your support :)
Vocations Week

We can't wait to hear all about your vocation!

Summer 1
I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter break! A few pieces of information ahead of our return next week!
PE days are remaining to be Mondays (swimming) and Wednesdays.
- Monday 13th April - there will be no swimming this day (swimming resumes Monday 20th April) however children are welcome to come into school in their PE kits as normal.
- Friday 17th April we are taking part in our own Mini Marathon, so children will need to come into school in PE kits on this day also.
Due to a change in the timetable, History will no longer be on a Friday and therefore, there will no longer be a research question set for homework. Instead there will be a piece of Maths, a 60 second reading comprehension and spellings. If you have any concerns, please feel free to speak to me or send an email.
Our class assembly is on St George's Day (Thurs 23rd April), however children will need to come to school dressed in their uniform and they can bring their own clothes to change into for their class assembly at 2:30pm. We hope you can join us!
Looking forward to welcoming you all back after a well deserved rest!

We will be practising with them regularly in class, however any support to learn their lines at home is always appreciated!
If there are any issues, please don't hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Brandrick!
Thank you! Mrs P :)
Outside Achievements
Please ensure your children are only bringing in to school their outside achievements (trophies/certificates) which we will then celebrate with them on a Friday in class.
Thank you

Dear parents/ carers,
We are having lots of jumpers & cardigans getting mixed in year 2 at the moment. We have spoken with children at length about putting them on their pegs/ chairs or in their bags if they take them off to keep them safe. Could you please ensure items are clearly labelled to help us sort clothes out if they get mixed up or lost.
Thank you, we really appreciate the support.
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Children can wear PE kit on both days. Please ensure earrings are removed on both days. Thank you!
