St Francis of Assisi retreat day! Today we made stain glass windows with St Francis of Assisi on, created beautiful prayer stones and completed an obstacle course exploring creation like St Francis did!

National Poetry Day- Today we explored the wonder of leaves after reading the poem ‘Six Ways of Looking at a Leaf’ by Kate Wakeling! 🍁

We are enjoying our Mastering Number sessions! Today we were making 5 🧮

We enjoyed listening to the Bible story of Jesus welcomes the children today. We thought about we can welcome others! 

In PE we practised running at different speeds!

We are getting much better at logging on in computing! We even practised typing sentences today!

Learning to use greater than, less than and equal to signs in maths!

Today in Art we were using our knowledge of mixing primary colours to make secondary colours. We painted in the style of Jasper Johns! 🎨

Today in History we made a class memory box! We reflected upon the memories we have of our lives so far!

Today we made actions to go with the words of the Creed. We thought carefully about the actions we used and the meaning of the words 🙏🏻

In RE today we explored the visible and invisible things that God created in the world. We can see the trees, sun and ocean. We recognised God made love, faith and wind but we can’t see those! 

Today in PE we were practising our rolls in gymnastics!

Today we practised logging on to the chrome books for the first time using our own logins! 💻

Today in Discerning Disciples we began our Creation & Covenant topic! We explored the different things God created and thought about what the ‘Our Father’ prayer means.

Today in Gymnastics we were practising our balances!

Today in science the children explored the different weathers we get across the different seasons. We dressed up in the clothes that matched the different seasons and we made weather mobiles! 

Our first two days in Year One! Maths learning, exploring creation and learning about what democracy means!
