Day of Welcome for School of Sanctuary - We thought about why it is important to welcome others and wrote our thoughts on a pair of hands. We then created a leaflet to give someone who is new to our school.
We are working hard to complete our DT project on product packaging. We have drawn and decorated nets for a healthy food product and are now in the process of putting them together. We are beginning to realise that the sizes of some of the shapes on our nets need to be more accurate.
We have completed our Art work for the exhibition. On our homemade papyrus paper we wrote an Egyptian quote about courage then drew Egyptian pictures and hieroglyphics. Next we painted with watercolours before going over the quote with a black fine liner pen.
First Holy Communion - Saturday 6th June 2026
Today we had the opportunity to learn some basic first aid. We practiced putting on a bandage, what to do if someone is choking as well as basic CPR.
PE - in between rain showers we practised bouncing a ball into a target for our partner to catch and then developed skills in 5rowing over arm.

As part of our History topic about the Egyptians we learnt about the process of mummification by mummifying tomatoes. 🍅
When rain interrupts our PE lesson, we do Cosmic Yoga in the classroom.

Designing our scrolls with a courage theme and linked to our History topic. We stained paper with tea bags to make them look like papyrus paper. Our designs have a border with a combination of hieroglyphics and Egyptian patterns and a quote about courage in the middle.
