Teamwork is key in Pre School and the children enjoyed working together when using the parachute.

Understanding the world development - exploring how things work when using the computer, developing our mouse and keyboard skills.

Expressive, Arts and Design development - The children enjoyed using their feet to make colourful patterns they used some wonderful language to describe how the paint felt.

Expressive, Arts and Design Development - whereby the children explored the paint using their hands, mixing and naming the colours linked to our focus story “ Elmer”

One of our prime areas of learning is physical development- the children are developing their fine motor skills in many ways in pre school.

Maths, physical and understanding the world development - Firstly A huge THANK YOU for supporting such an important cause as MacMillan the children enjoyed their cakes around the camp fire in Forest school. They enjoyed playing with and sorting the wild animals into groups, while others were collecting and counting autumn 🍂 leaves, sticks and feathers 🪶 in their buckets. Some children chose to sit around the campfire and read a book and others were being bug 🐜 detectives looking for mini beasts. A truly wonderful morning spent in Forest school with mathematics being our focus.

Physical Development - what a super session. We began with a warm up using our flappers. We then explored different ways of travelling in the large space. Our focus was on our core strength and we balanced on the benches.

Physical Development- fine motor skills our children are beginning to use the scissors and use them safely. They are to learning how to carry them around the setting in a safe way to use them in their learning. Some of the children wanted to add detail to their cuttings - very expressive.

Maths focus in Pre school- WOW our learning is exciting. We access the computer daily, jigsaws, building in the construction area and we explore the sand and water. Pre School is the best place to play and learn.

Physical Development developing core strength and balance in the outdoor classroom.
