🌟 Prophecy and Promise
The Bible is full of God's promises. A promise is when someone says they will do something and can be trusted to keep their word.
God made many promises to His people. He also gave messages through prophets about things that would happen in the future. These messages are called prophecies.
A prophecy is a message from God given through a prophet.
God's prophets helped people understand what God was saying and reminded them to trust Him.
For example, the prophet Isaiah spoke about a special child who would come. Christians understand this prophecy as pointing to Jesus.
A promise is something God says He will do.
God promised His people that He would be with them and would send a Saviour.
God always keeps His promises, even when people have to wait.
For many years, God's people waited for the promised Saviour.
Then Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
Christians believe that Jesus was the promised Saviour and that His coming fulfilled God's promises.
Sometimes we have to wait for something we have been promised.
Waiting can be difficult!
The Bible teaches us that God's timing is always trustworthy. We may not understand everything, but we can trust God.
