Autumn 1- Stewardship of God's Creation
How can we take action for environmental justice as part of our faith?

Through enquiry learning, children will use varying skills from history, science and RE to explore the question, ‘How can we take action for environmental justice as part of our faith?’
They will study this through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, looking at ‘Stewardship of God’s Creation’ and through studying census data in History. They will study about how our world was created and the ways that science and religion can work hand in hand.
Children will look at how they are responsible for caring for our world and what it means to be a true steward.
They will look at both religion and science to build a wider perspective on what it means to live in and look after our world today.
Through the wider curriculum, they will explore the British Value of democracy and how this helps to contribute to a fair society.
