Physical Development- enjoying the adventure playground and beginning to challenge themselves.

Mathematical Development - building with a variety of construction kits, working together and showing perseverance. Also expressing themselves through creativity.

The ways in which we stayed cool in Pre School, during this heatwave.

Thank God for sending the sunshine we love being outside- look at all the skills we are developing through play. Personal, Social and Emotional. We observe collaborative play, teamwork and sheer enjoyment being together.

Physical Development- Gross Motor Skills. The Coach was so impressed with your listening skills and ability to work as a team โ€œ Well Done Team Pre School โ€œ you will be great on sports day. You are ALL PE CHAMPIONS.

Literacy Development- look at the range of writing opportunities the children experience in Pre School.

Expressive, Arts and Design/ Communication and Language Development. What we inspire to be when we are older - remember to dream big and YOU can be anything you want to be. What super expressive paintings!

Design and Technology- to challenge the children we introduced them to sewing ( they have had a lot of experience of threading and weaving prior) it is great to develop their fine motor skills, concentration and hand/ eye coordination. Truly impressed with their resilience and the end product was unique to them.

Our new role play area is linked to our topic โ€œ Under the Seaโ€ the children set it up with the adults. They have created different sea creatures to display in the role play, and made all the drapes- roller paints and printing . It is great space for them to develop their personal, social, emotional skills. Also, to continue to practice their speaking and listening skills.

Understanding the world - the children were fascinated with the magnets ๐Ÿงฒ exploring the forces, seeing where they would stick and thinking about the material in which it stuck to - they were great detectives ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ.

Understanding the world - we are learning about ways in which to look after our beautiful planet- so to celebrate and enhance our outdoor environment we decided to plant some flowers. The children were hands on and talked about the roots, soil, petals, the different colours. They learnt how to keep these living things alive - they need water and sunshine..

Mathematical Learning - our focus was repeating patterns โ€œ The children blew me awayโ€ they can recognise and continue a repeating pattern and correct it if there was an error. We initially worked as a whole class then the children created their own patterns.
