Who were the Kings and Queens of the past and how did they change the history of England?
In this history driven study, we will also be exploring the geography curriculum through the key question - 'Who were the Kings and Queens of the past and how did they change the history of England?'
As historians, we will aim to extend our chronological understanding of British History from 1066 to modern day through the study of the changing power of monarchs. We will study the significance and impact of many well known monarchs as well as exploring the changes in Britain's social structure since 1066.
As geographers, we will revisit and refine our geographical skills throughout this topic, using maps and atlases to locate countries belonging to the British Empire in the Victorian Era. We will use and interpret a range of geographical sources including maps, aerial photographs and diagrams.
Throughout this study we will be continually revisiting and refining our skills and knowledge. Therefore, our 'golden nuggets' of knowledge will be embedded into our long term memories!
