Year 5

In Year 5 children learn how to buy fruit and vegetables at a market stall, ask how much something costs and to use Euros confidently. They also describe the clothes they wear for school and at home, give their opinions on different styles and design their own outfit. We also learn the parts of the body by reading a children’s book in French and then practise role-plays at the pharmacy.

Year 5 making a great start to the year learning numbers 1-50 and exploring European currency. Now they can use Euros more confidently and are aware of the value of the coins and notes in France and other countries in the Euro Zone.
