  • Mrs Turner’s Update

    Sun 12 Nov 2017

    Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well & gearing up for your Christmas productions! I hear that the songs are coming along nicely & your singing is as beautiful as always!

I had my 2nd lot of chemo on Friday so am feeling pretty tired & achy at the moment but still smiling! 😊

Because of the special medicine my hair started to fall out so Mr Turner helped me to shave off what was left! It feels a bit odd having no hair but I’ve got a super wig & lots of scarves to keep my head warm! Mr Turner said I look like a baby monkey, but a beautiful one! 😆

Enjoy the build up to Christmas & all the fun that comes along with it! Thank you all for the beautiful cards, well wishes & prayers! I’ve loved seeing the videos of you all from Mr Brown but it’s made me miss you all even more!

You are in my prayers every day & I can’t wait to see you all soon!

    God bless

    Love Mrs Turner! Xxxx

    Tue 31 Oct 2017

Congratulations to our Head Boy , Head Girl & their Deputies, who were appointed today, to support the Governing Board & the Leadership Team, in moving our school forward by carrying out our Mission Statement ' Bringing out the best in everyone, for the benefit of all, in the Spirit of Christ.'

Later this term, they will present themselves to the whole Governing Board, sharing their thoughts about how to make our school a wonderful place to be!

Congratulations to all the children who took the time to apply; you truly are all amazing and we know that you will all be great ambassadors for our school by being great Prefects!

  • Whole school celebration of the Harvest

    Thu 05 Oct 2017
Today we had a whole school assembly to celebrate the Harvest. YR, Y1 & Y2 sang beautiful Harvest Hymns, offering thanks to God for all the food. Y3 performed a Harvest Poem reflecting on the work of the farmers. Y4 read Harvest Poems and sang a Harvest Samba! Y5 read a Canticle of Creation that they had written and Y6 performed a drama about Stone Soup. All of the children performed really well and it was wonderful to see so many parents, carers and grandparents who joined us for this special occasion. Thank you to all the children & staff for all of their efforts putting the Assembly together.
  • A message from Mrs Turner

    Wed 04 Oct 2017

A big hello to my wonderful OLSK family!

I have just been reading the beautiful cards & messages that have been sent into school for me & they made me smile a lot! 😊

My operation went well & I am recovering & resting at home. I haven't got a bell to ring but I am being supplied with endless cups of tea & treats! Mr Turner is thoroughly spoiling me & making sure I take things easy (even though he does say, "What else is new?!") 😆

I have to start chemotherapy on the 20th October, which I know will be very stressful but knowing that you are all praying for me, keeps me going!

    God bless you all! Xxxxx
