Letter from Archbishop Bernard - Mission Together

Mission Together has been working in Catholic schools and parishes worldwide since 1843, encouraging children to pray, fundraise and become missionaries themselves - children helping children. Mini Vinnies make their promise at our whole school Committment Mass today!

of SVP by reciting their Pledge in our Whole School commitment Mass.
Fr Bruce, our Parish Priest led them in their Misson and handed them a certificate at the end of Mass. Staff, Governors, parents and parishioners congratulate them as they continue their work by 'Turning Concern into Action.' Members of the SVP at OLSK Church came to support them with their pledge.

New Peace Garden, Stained glass windows, KS2 climbing wall & Mary Garden
Fri 08 Sep 2017Wow! The staff & children are thrilled with all the new spaces in the school grounds, including the new Peace Garden, where the children can sit during lunch & break times. The new Mary Garden, allowing the children to look after & develop this sacred space for prayer. KS2 are delighted with their new climbing wall and at break times you can see the delight on their faces as they climb the wall. The new stained glass windows in the entrance and Mary Chapel are a huge asset to our school, including the words from our Gospel Values, displayed in the shelter in the playground. Well done to Matt the artist for all of his wonderful work & a special thank you to Mr Carl Barrett for giving up his family time to paint the fence & the benches!

Pupils of the Year 2017
Thu 20 Jul 2017Congratulations to all the children who were nominated by their class teacher for Pupil of the Year today! All children were presented with a certificate to celebrate this wonderful accolade! Well done everyone; we are really proud of you all.

Mrs F takes part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise funds for Mini Vinnies!
Thu 20 Jul 2017Well done to Sophie in Y5, for organising the Ice Bucket Challenge, which took place tonight at the Summer Ball, in front of all the staff, children, parents and Governors, in aid of raising funds for Mini Vinnies!
The competition was between Mr B and Mrs F; and the majority of the votes was for Mrs F!! Thank you to all the children, staff and parents for supporting this activity by donating money! What great fun it was watching Mrs F get soaked by not just one bucket of ice cold water, but two! Very brave!!

Bikeability
Thu 20 Jul 2017Well done to the Year 3 and Year 5 children who participated in the Bikeability training offered by Dudley Road Safety and Travel Awareness team. We hope they will use their knowledge and skills to stay safe on their bikes.

Y5 Fiver Challenge
Wed 19 Jul 2017Every year, the children in Y5 put their entrepreneurial skills into place by rasing funds for charity! This year the children have really thought 'outside the box' to raise money! Some have made friendship bands others have challenged Mrs F & Mr B to the Ice Bucket Challenge and others, like Izzy, James, Ellis and Zachary, have raised money by washing the staff's cars! Well done- the cars are sparkling!

One of our own, plays cricket for Worcester.

Dudley Maths Championship
