Year 6 scientists come away with silver and bronze at Birmingham University Science fair!
Tue 21 Apr 2015After months of preparation, 10 of our year 6 pupils were enthused and excited to take their science projects to Birmingham university. There, they were asked to display their projects, talk about them and hold an interview about their projects to three lots of judges.
The children began the day feeling anxious and nervous, but as time went by, they soon got into the feel of the science vibe and were able to deliver confident speeches about their posed question and their results.
After projects from 3 schools were judged, we were delighted to find out that two of our children from Our Lady and Saint Kenelm had been placed second and third! What a fantastic result for all of our budding scientists! I thank the children for their impeccable behaviour and endless enthusiasm!
