  • World Book Day 2018

    Fri 09 Mar 2018

Staff inspired the 'Love for Reading' today by sharing their favourite books with the children & dressing up as their favourite characters. Can you identify who they are?

Miss Mallin led a whole school assembly inviting everyone to share their favourite books and getting us ready for the day ahead.

Mrs Ray captivated the whole of KS1 this afternoon with her retelling of 'The Room on the Broom'....truly inspirational.

Thank you to all the staff and children for making today all about our love of reading.

  • Lenten Day of Prayer

    Thu 01 Mar 2018

Today, on St David’s Day, we had a whole school day of Prayer as part of our Lenten Journey.

Staff, children and Governors came together to offer their prayers up to God, asking him for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be with us all during Lent.

Every class spent some time in front of the Altar, created by the Liturgy Leaders; spending time in quiet prayer, writing their own personal prayers and sharing with one another.

At the end of the day, the whole school community joined back together, to share their Prayer experiences and sing hymns.

It was a truly wonderful day; the children showed great reverence when praying; taking time out of their  busy day; to spend time with the Lord, in quiet prayer!

  • Y5 rock the Birmingham Town Hall

    Thu 15 Feb 2018

Tonight, at the Birmingham Town Hall, Y5 rocked the stage as part of  the Hagley Pyramid Concert! Every year our children, along with five other primaries and Hagley High School, showcase their amazing talents, including a live band from Hagley, who share their love of music by playing a range of instruments.

The evening started with a prayer, from Arch Bishop Bernard. It was wonderful that he could join us all for this evening of Rock!

All of the children who took part, were great ambassadors for our school; we are extremely proud of them. Thank you to Mrs Sweeney & Mrs Foley for all of their hard work in ensuring that the children were prepared for the concert! Another thank you goes to Mr Mallinson, from Hagley, for his passion, drive & enthusiasm to make the night a success for all; well done everyone! It was wonderful to see so many parents & grandparents enjoying the night too- thank you for your support.
