  • Dignity of the Human Person

    Mon 29 Nov 2021

We began our Advent journey today, by thinking about the Dignity of the Human Person as part of our Catholic Social Teaching. We are learning all about those who require our love & kindness; refuges and migrants, as they arrive in our country. We are making our pledge on Friday to ‘Welcome the Stranger.’ πŸ™πŸ’™πŸ™ It is more important than ever to think about others during this time, after all, Mary and Joseph were welcomed as they arrived in Bethlehem- let’s us do the same for others. πŸ€—πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ’•

  • Reindeer Run for Mary Stevens Hospice

    Wed 17 Nov 2021

Every year we collect money for Mary Stevens Hospice after the Christmas Nativity & Carol Concert. As we cannot do that this year, we will be holding a reindeer run on 3rd December for them. We have set up a just giving page at:

    https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/our-lady-and-st-kenelm-school

On the day children can wear their Christmas jumpers and the hospice are supplying each child with some reindeer antlers to wear for the run!

Please share this Just Giving page with friends and family so we can raise as much as possible!

Thank you for your support! 😁

  • Updated on KS1 Nativity & KS2 Carol Concert

    Mon 15 Nov 2021

Although we cannot have parents in the building to watch this year, the productions will still be going ahead and parents will be informed about how they can watch, in due course! The shows must go on!

HOWEVER, we will update you on where you can access the performances to watch at home in due course so the show will go on!

Thank you for your continued support & understanding!

    428. This part of the statutory guidance is about how schools and colleges should respond to all reports and concerns of child on child sexual violence and sexual harassment, including those that have happened outside of the school or college premises, and or online (what to look out for, and indicators of abuse are set out in Part one of this guidance).

    429. Sexual violence and sexual harassment can occur between two children of any age and sex, from primary through to secondary stage and into colleges. It can occur through a group of children sexually assaulting or sexually harassing a single child or group of children. Sexual violence and sexual harassment exist on a continuum and may overlap; they can occur online and face to face (both physically and verbally) and are never acceptable. As set out in Part one of this guidance, all staff working with children are advised to maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’.

    430. Addressing inappropriate behaviour (even if it appears to be relatively innocuous) can be an important intervention that helps prevent problematic, abusive and/or violent behaviour in the future
