Today, we handed over our donations of £200 to Mike Weaver, who represents the SVP in our OLSK Parish! A group of SVP members from our parish, hit the road in June to help raise funds for Fatima House. We held a non uniform day to help with the fundraising! 🙏💕🙏
We celebrated all of our amazing children and their many achievements with our annual awards assembly.
Here we announced the winners of sports day as well as the winners of the Talent Show.
How lucky are we to have such fabulous children at OLSK!
As part of our celebrations for the feast day of St Kenelm, Y5 treated us to a retelling of the story of St Kenelm, patron of our school. We learnt about his life and why he was made a saint.
The acting was fantastic and every child had a part which they took on diligently. Well done to KS1 who did not scream too loudly when the customary pair of eyeballs flew into the audience.
Thank-you to Mrs Sweeney and Mrs Foley for guiding the children and to Y5 for such a fabulous drama.
We had our annual talent show and, my goodness, we certainly have talented children at OLSK!
We were treated to an afternoon of singing, dancing, gymnastics, comedy and musical instruments among other things.
Every child who performed was A-MAZ-ING! What a wealth of God given gifts we saw on display.
Well done to Mr Brown for organising it and keeping the performances on track - as well as you brilliant dance with Holly that opened the show!
Team chicken 🐓 are hard at work today; building a new home for Kenelm & all his friends! Thank you to Miss Marshall, Mrs Banno and all those who have turned up to support! 💕🐓💕
Day 2 in the big chicken house: A huge thank you to Miss Marshall, her mom & dad and all who supported the rehoming of our chickens! A great team effort & the best chicken coup in town! 🐓💕🐓
What a fabulous evening we all had celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation with Archbishop Bernard. Thank you to Father Bruce for his guidance and support. The children were very reverent throughout the Service & Archbishop Bernard congratulated all the children, staff, parents & Governors, for preparing the children so well. #filledwiththeholyspirit #Confirmation
This afternoon, hot on the heels of the fabulous Hagley Band, our own musicians took to the stage to share their talents with us. There we violins, electric guitars, keyboards, choirs and drums. Our young musicians showed that they are well on their way to being the stars of the future!
Today Mr Malinson brought his inspirational Hagley Band to OLSK and we were all treated to a morning of 70s punk music! We were amazed at the brilliance of all the performers and loved joining in with the songs and learning about the different instruments. It was particularly nice to welcome back Sam and Feargus, former pupils and future rock stars!
