  • The Good Shepherd Mass at St Chad’s Cathedral

    Wed 30 Apr 2025

Today we had the honour of attending the Good Shepherd Mass at St. Chad’s Cathedral, in Birmingham. The Mass was led by His Grace, Archbishop Bernard Longley. Some of our children were asked to read the First Reading, as well as a Bidding Prayer, carry our School Banner as part of the Procession, and take our donation of funds, as part of the Offertory.

We had many compliments about our children- how smart they looked in their uniform, how they conducted themselves throughout the Mass, with great reverence and respect, and how great they were at reading. We are extremely proud of them all. Well done everyone #servantleadership

  • Last February, we sowed our seeds of Hope. They have grown into beautiful sweet pea plants, and we have placed them into the Mary Garden, looking forward to lots of lovely flowers πŸ’

  • Cardinal Vincent Nichols pays tribute to Pope Francis

    Mon 21 Apr 2025

Upon hearing of the death of Pope Francis, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales and Archbishop of Westminster, said:

'The death of Pope Francis brings great sadness to so many around the world, both within the Catholic Church and in societies in general. A voice proclaiming the innate dignity of every human being, especially those who are poor or marginalised, is now silent. The legacy he leaves is one we must seek to carry forward and strengthen.

'Pope Francis was called to priesthood through his experience of the mercy and compassion of God. This remained the core of his ministry, as Priest, Bishop and Pontiff. Only in understanding the love and mercy of God towards each one of us can we fashion societies and communities that bear the mark of the "kingdom of God".

'This same focus and emphasis lay at this desire to see membership of the Church as being rooted in "missionary discipleship", a dynamic and powerful vision for every Christian and every community.

'Now we pray for the repose of his soul, that he may know, in full measure, the merciful and loving embrace of the Father, of the one God to whom he gave his life in unstinting service.

'May he now rest in peace and rise in glory.'

  • RIP Pope Francis!

    Mon 21 Apr 2025

It is with great sorrow that the Vatican announces the news that Pope Francis, our Holy Father, has died. πŸ™πŸ’œπŸ™

We pray for all Christians around the world, who will be grieving for such a great man. A man who taught us to live by the Gospel Virtues, Gospel Values and the truth of the Holy Bible.

A great shepherd who called us to serve, especially for those who are less fortunate than ourselves. He was a very strong advocate for the poor and vulnerable. We must continue his mission, in the Lords name. We will remember him for the compassion he showed to others; which we must commit to continue this work, in his memory. πŸ™πŸ™

A very sad day for the whole world. May he rest in peace, and rise in Glory, in the Lord’s House! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • St Chads Sanctuary & St Chads Cathedral

    Fri 04 Apr 2025

The car is loaded with all your donations; to take to St Chad’s Sanctuary, in Birmingham! The Caritas Ambassadors are very excited for this opportunity, to visit the Sanctuary and have time to pop into the Cathedral during this special time, of Lent! πŸ™πŸ’œπŸ™

During our visit to the Sanctuary, it was very thought provoking to hear about the work they do to support those less fortunate than themselves.

It was lovely to walk the Stations of the Cross and talk about how Mary must have been feeling during this time, at the Cathedral.  πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

Thank you to all our wonderful parents and carers for your continued support and generosity! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

After Easter, we will be collecting ‘Pants for Pentecost’. The staff at the Sanctuary informed us that to support this project, and ensure that everyone is treated with dignity, they need packs of adults, men & women, and children’s new pants! #Dignityofthehumanperson
