Mini Vinnies welcome the children from Our Lady of Fatima to our school.
Fri 13 Jul 2018We had a wonderful morning meeting & greeting the Mini Vinnies from OLF & sharing all our ideas with them. The meeting started with the Mini Vinnie prayer and all the children recited their Pledge. It was a truly great morning, celebrating the work of all the Mini Vinnies in both schools. Well done to all the children for their exemplary behaviour and attitude to their Mission.

Bishop David Blesses the Mini Vinnie Wall
Fri 13 Jul 2018We are truly blessed to have Bishop David, alongside Fr Bruce, to bless our new Mini Vinnie wall in school. Bishop David was really impressed with the artwork and thanked all the children for their artistic skills, whilst working with Matt Johnson (previous pupil) and all their fundraising efforts and 'Turning Concern into Action'.

Sacrament of Confirmation
Wed 11 Jul 2018Congratulations to all the children in Y6 who received the Sacrament of Confirmation. You are a credit to your family and our school & Bishop David said you really are living out the Spirit within you. May you continue your spiritual journey and use your God given talents wisely.

Y6 trip to Astley Burf
Mon 25 Jun 2018We arrived Monday at Astley Burf and have had an amazing afternoon in the sunshine! After lunch we went on a very long walk all through the countryside 😆 After tea it’s time for free time! Yippee!! Playing footy, on the swings, tracker and hide & seek till sunset! The weather is stunning😎☀️😎 so we are applying lots of suncream!
Today we we went to Whitley Court- we had an amazing time after our 3hr walk - even time for ice cream 🍦 What a beautiful place to visit!
More free time on the zip wire, Archery, Low and high ropes! 😎☀️😎
Miss Marshall was defeated in the water fight tonight! 🤪🤪 What another amazing day in the sunshine 😎☀️😎
Then paddle boarding on the lake on today, including jumping of the jetty and raft building. 😄😄 We've had an amazing morning on the lake- see pics below. Looks like Miss Marshall, Mrs Turner & Mrs Morris are having a great time too.
Sadly, it’s time to come home on Friday. 🤪🤪

Father Bruce and Kynan talk to us about Vocations
Fri 22 Jun 2018We ended our amazing Vocations week with a visit from Father Bruce and Kynan. Kynan was a pupil at OLSK and is thinking about training to be a priest himself. They shared their calling from God and His influence in their lives. We were able to ask questions and we certainly learnt a lot about vocations. What a lovely way to end a fantastic week!

Mini Vinnies go shopping!
Tue 19 Jun 2018Our wonderful Mini Vinnies from Y6 went on a shopping trip today, to purchase crafts, stationery and gifts, with the money raised from the Mini Vinnie Bake Off.
The girls organised the whole trip, knowing which shops to go to, for the best purchases, which made great financial sense; & they only took Mrs F with them to pay the bill. Lol 😂
All of the gifts will be taken to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the next few weeks, to support the children who are in hospital.
Thank you to all the children & parents who gave so generously and to those who took part in the Bake Off.
