Every year in the Summer Term we send out our Wider Learning Passport for the children to complete as an alternative to homework. Obviously in these times of lock-down, some of the tasks will not be achievable until you can move freely.
We do still expect children to continue with the home learning requirements such as Maths, Literacy and 2dos. Keep checking your child’s class webpage in the home learning section as teachers are constantly updating these with learning for your child.
Children can tick off any activities they have done and challenge themselves to complete as many as they can. Children can use Purple Mash to record things that they have done like putting it on their class blog or noticeboard.
YOU WILL FIND THE PASSPORT TO DOWNLOAD AND PRINT OFF IN THE HOME LEARNING SECTION OF THE WEBSITE!
As well as all of the fabulous lessons and resources that the teachers have added to the Home Learning page and your own class pages, BBC Bitesize have launched its new daily lessons area to support home learning. You'll find daily lessons for homeschooling in Maths and English for every year group, as well as regular lessons in Science, History, Geography and more. Go to
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
and choose your year group for activities, videos and loads more. Have fun!
We read the story of The Smartest Giant in Town - (who is actually the Kindest Giant in town!) and thought about all the kind people we know who are so generous, brave and thoughtful. They are an inspiration to us and most definitely disciples of Jesus. Love from Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Sweeney, Mrs Barber and Mrs Banno.
🌈 Check out the video that the OLSK staff have made for all of our children & families! We miss you loads but we’ll see each other soon! 🥰

BIG thanks to Miss Harris & her fantastic IT skills who produced the finished video! 👏
Today we begin the Easter Tridium, beginning with Mass of the Last Supper. Tonight, across the whole world, families who usually gather together in Church, are no longer able to do so in person; however, where ever we all are; we might not be together physically, but we can be together in Prayer!
As Jesus prayed with his Disciples, we pray for all those who are suffering or for those who have died from this awful virus; keep them in your prayers during these uncertain times.
Tomorrow, as we celebrate the Passion of the Lord, my thoughts turn to all our children in school; who would have performed the Passion with such reverence & grace; asking us to journey with Jesus, as he takes up His Cross!
Let us pray that the Resurrection of the Lord on Sunday, brings hope into our homes during this time and peace to all those who are suffering.
May all our wonderful children, OLSK families, staff and Governing Board, have a truly peaceful Easter. Love from Mrs F 💕 God Bless you all. 🙏😊🙏
