Today, we honoured Mary, our Mother, and Patron of our wonderful School, in a whole school Mass & May Procession, led by Y4. It was wonderful to see all the children, who have previously received the Sacrament of Holy Communion, dressed in their beautiful clothes, to honour Mary today.
Thank you to all of the children & staff in Y4, who led our Mass so beautifully; Mary, would be very proud of you. Thank you too, to the parents and parishioners who were able to join us for this wonderful celebration.
We had an amazing time at St Chad’s Cathedral today and it was lovely to meet ArchBishop Bernard after the celebration and have a photo with him!! ππ The Liturgy Leaders & the Presidents of our Mini Vinnies, were representing the whole of our school community! We were very proud to process our OLSK banner during the offertory & present our cheque to Fr Hudson’s. πππ Our children were great ambassadors for our school π Well done everyone!

We had a wonderful time as a school family celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III with a picnic on the playground! Huge thanks to all of the families who were able to join us and thank goodness the sun shone on us!
We were honoured with a visit from Richard Boot OBE Deputy Lieutenant of WM to plant a commemorative rose in our Mary Garden. It was a variety called ‘Mountbatten’ which we thought the King would approve of. πβ€οΈ
Each month, Ten:ten - who we use to support our collective worship in school, create a parent newsletter. By exploring the information in the newsletter, you will be able to discuss with your children the themes encountered each day in school.
As May begins, we are in the full flow of Eastertide celebrations and the blossoming of Springtime flowers echoes the hope and joy of the Resurrection of Jesus. We look forward in hope and anticipation for the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, marking the birthday of the Church and a renewal of our mission as followers of Jesus.

Today, I had honour of being invited to the launch of the Tabor Living Project, at St Catherine of Siena, Birmingham. This project supports people on their journey from homelessness, to independent living. It was wonderful to be a part of it. All the people who have made this happen and continue to support these people, are truly inspirational.
“ Tabor House helps rebuild people when they have fallen down!”
With this quote in mind, let us all play our part to help lift others who have fallen, back up and onto their feet. Let us continue Gods work by helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves. ππ
