CONGRATULATIONS to all of the acts that competed in the OLSK Talent Show!
Wow! What a wealth of talent we have in every year group! There were singers, dancers, musicians, magicians of all ages! Simon Cowell would be very impressed!
Hi there,
I am a producer writing from the hit BBC One prime time series ‘Eat Well For Less?’ which is in currently casting for the fifth series!
My reason for writing is that we are currently on the lookout for fun and lively families who would like to save some money on their weekly shop and eat more healthily. We would love it if the school would be willing to share some information with your staff and parents in case any of them would like to apply? I’ve popped some information about the series below for you.
The show follows Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace & award winning greengrocer Chris Bavin on a mission to prove that it is possible for families to save money on their food budget without scrimping on taste and nutrition. They hope that by analysing the shopping habits of UK families, they can help to show where we can source the best and cheapest quality food.
Eating healthily and to a budget is something we feel affects most of us and we’d be really grateful if you could help us spread the word about the new series amongst your families at your school and staff by perhaps circulating a flyer or sharing something in a newsletter. I have attached a copy of the flyer to this email and we can also post paper copies out to the school if you would prefer.
If you think you know any families/households that may be interested in appearing on the programme, please do pass on our details.
Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
The Eat Well For Less Team

What a brilliant day today for our Sports day, led by Mr Brown and all the staff! The children had a great time running the races and taking part in the carousel of activities this morning.
Then we had our family picnic- thank you to all those who joined us for this and then who stayed for the fun run this afternoon. I think you will all agree, it was a fab-u-Lous day! Thank you to all involved, especially the children- great team spirit!
A huge thank you to our team of parents who worked tirelessly to feed us all with breakfast- you truly are amazing!
Well done to all the staff & parents who took part in the space hopper race at the end of the day- remember, it's about the taking part, not the winning! Lol
Your kind donations this afternoon came to £135.50- thank you to all who donated for such a great cause!
Please read the information on the following link about changes to the popular Snapchat app.
It is very important to ensure we keep our children safe online.
Thank-you
A huge thank you to McKenzie and his parents for their beautiful end of year gift for our school. What a wonderful surprise when we opened the huge box, delivered to school this week- a truly lovely carved wall hanging of The Last Supper! The gift takes pride of display in the Mary Chapel in school.
The gift was shared with all the children in assembly this week- who were astonished at how beautiful it really is!
When Fr Bruce and Bishop David McGough visited school to see all the children in Y6 who were to be Confirmed, they thought it was wonderful too.
A big 'thank you' to McKenzie's family for their kind generosity and their never ending support for our school.
