Have a great half-term
Hi everyone,
Just to let you all know, that last night 6.2.25, a suspicious car - white BMW- was parked in our carpark, just by the Blue Gates, for more than 45 minutes. They were not a parent or a visitor. They were challenged by our Site Manager, and then drove off.
I reported it to the Police last night, who have advised the following: If you see any suspicious activity, DO NOT CHALLENGE THEM, CALL THE POLICE, 999 or 101, to report it. WE MUST NOT CHALLENGE THEM- KEEP YOURSELF SAFE AT ALL TIMES.
Therefore, to keep everyone safe, we will revert back to closing the green gates at 8:15am and 4:15 pm.
Little Acorns will advise their parents that this is the case. Parents who are dropping off, or collecting their child/children from breakfast or after school clubs will have to park elsewhere, & walk. The green gates will be closed over at 8:15 and 4:15 from Monday.
Please be aware when allowing your children to walk home alone, or meet you at the end of the gulley, to keep themselves safe.
Thank you for following all our guidance to keep everyone, including yourself, safe at all times.
We have reviewed our schools action plan for evacuating the building if there is a fire and also the measures that will be taken should the school go into 'lockdown' for security.
Our action plan is compliant with current Government legislation:
DfE Protective security & preparedness for education settings document
We will be talking to the children about our action plan and practicing the security measures to ensure that they understand what to do.
Thank-you for your continued support.
Huge congratulations to our Y3/4 team who entered the Dudley Maths Championships and have made it through to the finals in June!
This morning in Assembly, we talked about the importance of looking after our Mental Health. 😊 We used the characters from Inside Out, to identify all the emotions we have inside us. ❤️❤️ On Friday we are dressing to express ourselves 💜#mentalhealthmatters
