Our enquiry question for this half term of 'How can we stand with those in our local and global community' will be explored through the Catholic Social Teaching lense of Option for the Poor and Vulnerable across the curriculum.
This term in Geography, we are exploring why our oceans matter and how understanding them helps us live out the Catholic Social Teaching principle of the Option for the Poor and Vulnerable.
Our oceans are vital to life on Earth. They regulate climate, provide food, support livelihoods, and produce much of the oxygen we breathe. Yet the damage caused by pollution, overfishing, and climate change does not affect everyone equally. The poorest and most vulnerable communities around the world are often the most impacted.
