A huge thank you to our KS2 children and staff for their marvellous depiction of the Passion of Our Lord. I am sure that the parents who attended would most certainly agree.
Here's some of the comments we received about it from those who attended:
'Really enjoyed this mornings session'
'The Passion Play was incredible. It is a beautiful, artistic, moving play and the children were wonderful. They should be very proud of themselves.'
'Beautifully presented performance, which showed the hard work put in by both the staff and children.'
'This was such an amazing performance, the children worked so hard and delivered the story perfectly. It is clear to see the level of hard work that was put in by all the staff and of course the children. I feel privileged to have watched them perform this piece of art. Thank you.'
'Dear children, Staff, Head of the school . Wow! what an astonishingly we'll tailored work you all bring and share with each and everyone of us all each year. This performance is very close to our hearts and soul. Is such a memorable, important Time of the Year for us all, it help us to make a stop and reflect in many areas of our lives. Thank you all so very much for the superb work you all put in to always deliver what you all do best . You are all amazing .I can't wait for the afternoon performance. May Our Lord Bless You All.'
'A wonderful and moving performance. The children were all fantastic!'
'As always, a stunning and thoughtful provoking performance.'
'What a moving, graceful play. It brought tears to my eyes reminding me what Jesus' did for me and all for us. Each and every child made us all so proud with their powerful performance. Well done and thank you to all staff for the hard work. It shows each and every year.'
'What a beautiful reflective performance, presented by all the staff and children. I was so proud to have been there to witness this event. The children were amazing- I could feel the impact on the whole school family as the children told the story. When Mrs F spoke about the Journey to the Cross, it made me realise how important this was. She spoke so eloquently about the importance of being able to connect with the Lord during this season of Lent. I thank her for this. It would have been nice to listen to the reflective music whilst waiting but some parents just can’t help themselves- and talked constantly. Very sad. Thank you to all the staff for encouraging all the children to take part in such a wonderful event in our Catholic school family. Well done.'
'The performance was incredible from start to finish. The children were loud, clear and confident in their roles. The 4 boys who played Jesus were spectacular and deserve a special mention for their acting. Particularly the Y5 and Y6 boys who played their parts very well. The girl who sang alone also deserves a specific mention as she was incredible and definitely pulled on the heartstrings. The minutes before it was nice to look around and see an excited buzz of what was to come. I feel as though not silent, it was still respectful and was nice not to be shushed as we have been before in assemblies. Wonderful production led by Mr Hyde and his team.'
'The passion play was amazing. All the children performed superbly, and it was the best passion play with full of enthusiasm and passion from all the children and staff members. As a parent it took me back to my school time. Thank you so much and may God bless you all!'
