How did you find using the booking system for the Parents Consultation?

Quick and easy to use

Excellent and straightforward organisation, perhaps next time send the teams link in the reminder email/by email as I know some parents got confused!

Some slight confusion if we were going to be emailed a link but we found the link on the class page. Going forward maybe direct parents to the class page only. But all good.

Great to be able to see all available times and ones that were not available.

It was very easy to navigate. Great for time and scheduling all around

It was very straightforward no hassle at all

I just picked a time convenient for me to receive a call

Easy for me to use as I'm not very technically savvy!!

There was clear instructions on how to book the appointment.

Miss Carey went through all aspects of teaching and learning and responded to our questions

The teachers went through my children's progress in detail and also highlighted the areas that need attention.

Phone call was on time. I had a couple of questions wrote down ready to ask.

Miss Carey was superb. She spoke really well about our son and responded with warmth about our ideas.

It was good to hear how my child is progressing in her final year

We were able to have in-depth chats with both teachers. They were very well organised so everything flowed well and we feel that in a short space of time we found out a lot about how our girls are getting on, both academically and personally.

I was very well informed how my daughter is progressing in her academical year and got advice on other strategies that would also help to keep on supporting my daughter in her learning journey.

Good feedback on how my daughter is performing and school and thought it was constructive

There was enough information about both of my children. I could ask questions and both teachers responded promptly.

Did you have enough time with the class teacher, to discuss your child's progress & achievement?

I think maybe appointments should be 15 minutes where possible as they did run over a little bit.

Just about! I think the slot was a little tight, a 15 minute slot might be more ideal in order to discuss more pastoral aspects of school life

There was enough time, and didn't have to rush. The teachers were relaxed while discussing with myself and my husband.

I was on call just over 10 minutes and it was perfect. Didn’t seem rushed at all.

Didn't need to take any more of Miss Careys time.

Because of how well organised both teachers were, we were able to have 2-way dialogue with time to ask questions too.

My daughter's teacher has given a hand out prior the parents meeting ,which it majorly helped to inform me how my daughters is currently doing ,what progress she has made and what is expected and moving forward what it's going to be put in place to help My daughter to keep on growing strongly in her academical and faith journey . So the meeting pretty much flows through.

We had 10 minutes but didn't even use it all and l feel everything that needed to be said was explained with no rush

Did you receive sufficient information about your child's progress & attainment?

Good that the discussion was supplemented by the report that came out a few days before.

Thought the mini report was great. Well laid out and helpful

We know exactly how our children are getting on and what their targets are for the future.

Less about the Catholic values more about other subjects that are important

My daughters teachers explained very well the work that she has done ,and the areas where she needs some support.  Reassuring at all time that my daughter is working so very hard and growing in confidence and knowledge at her own pace.

I had already received the report prior so we went into it properly

Were you given the opportunity to ask questions and gather more information about your child, during the meeting- celebrating successes and areas for development?

We asked a few questions but would have had further questions if time allowed.

They answered all questions directed to them and also suggested and gave ideas on how to assist my children further in their studies.

Yes I also able to share with my daughters teachers that the areas where my daughters seems to struggle. Where she struggles with processing information rather than completing the work . I was then reassured that my daughter is receiving g support to balance and better those areas.

Did you find the Report Sheet regarding your child's current attainment, easy to understand?

I think more information regarding phonics, & how the children are assessed and grouped would be helpful. A lot of information about RE and nothing else in detail.

The report sheet was pretty straightforward.

Great idea and was lovely to read.

Love the colour coding and dots to show where children are working at. Nice and clear.

It's very basic, would like more in depth information about maths & English then a paragraph on their Catholic lives in school. So I can discuss it with the teacher

The spread informative sheet given out ,was clear and easy to understand. Of course, it's always better to hear the teacher fully explaining where your child is at and which areas may they need further support so we can all then put the work in to fully support the child to keep reaching for their greatest potential.

Report is simple yet informative and straight to the point. Gives a good overview on both attainment and general attitude of child. Much better than previous version.

Targets explained with advice on how we can assist at home, with examples given.

We know exactly what the girls need to work on.

However there’s wasn’t enough information regarding maths and English.

Are there any other comments you would like to add regarding the Parents Consultation?

We really appreciated how Miss Hudson clearly knows and refers to all of the children on a personal level as well as academically which is really reassuring and lovely to hear.

Excellent format via teams, felt more comfortable to speak/raise questions than in school hall. In future feel like the time a lot should be a little longer, especially as we progress through school and will need to discuss exams etc Overall very satisfied

Going forward I definitely prefer these consultations to be on teams rather than coming into school in the evening. It's far more easier in all aspects and it's stress and hassle free.

Would be really helpful to have an after school session to view my daughter's work as attending school during the day is challenging with work commitments

Telephone call was perfect and lots of slots available all day. Easier for parents and for teacher. It saves them having to work late for parents evening at school when already have a lot of work to do out of class.

Both Miss Hudson and Mrs Fairfax know our girls very well. They are so approachable and they were able to tell us all about the girls' strengths (both academically but also personally) and targets that we can focus on. They are very kind and caring teachers and the lovely things that they said meant the world to us. It was really well organised and we feel we came away knowing exactly what we need to work on for them to progress even further. Very proud parents!

I cannot understand why parents evening is on teams / telephone, all others schools have face to face parents evenings throughout the year, this is my child's last parents evening before their SATs.  I would have liked a face to face meeting and to see their work as when the school invites parents to do this I am always at work!

Thank you for taken the time always to fully support the children and parents .You should all be very proud of yourselves ,for you all do an excellent work .

Happy with the new booking system which gives different choices of how parents can participate than the traditional way because it gives flexibility for parents.
