Spring
This week in computing we have been learning how to email. We were able to compose them, send them to our friends and reply to what they sent us. It was great fun & safe using Purple Mash.
We started our new topic in Art - Sculpture. Using a cereal box, we flattened it and cut out 2D shapes, then fixed them together without using any glue or tape. We were very pleased with what we produced.
To prepare for our writing about Om’s village in Literacy, we pretended to be members of her community & acted out some of the jobs that would have been done there.
In our Computing unit this half term we are learning about email. We explored different forms of communication and wrote about their advantages & disadvantages.
Our Literacy task was to take part in a role play with improvisation. We worked in pairs to act out what the boy and girl would say to each other in scenes from the book ‘Stone Age Boy’.
In PE we worked in groups to create a sequence of movements with a count of 8. We performed our sequences to music and to each other.
In RE, we created a freeze frame drama of a parable linked to our Reconciliation unit. Can you guess which one it is?
We worked scientifically, conducting different tests on rocks to identify their properties. It was all very exciting!
