Was the Parents Consultation Evening informative and worthwhile?

Very informative, thank you.

Both Mrs Fairfax and Mr Hyde clearly knew our kids. They both gave wonderful overviews of our children's development and shared areas to work on. The reports are a nice insight to their learning progresses and it was good to have the opportunity to talk to both of them.

Good verbal and written feedback

Its nice to see all the work the children have done this term, and hear what they are doing well at and what we can support them with. Mrs Fairfax was informative and took on board any concerns I had regarding my child.

The teachers know my child so well. I can’t believe how much learning & how much progress my child has made since starting in September.

The was very informative, It provided valuable insights into my child’s progress and clear guidance on how we can support our son's learning at home.

Mrs Fairfax is lovely I think 5 minutes is hard squeezing everything in but I understand as have 30 parents to get in.

I was very pleased to hear all the positive things about my child's progress as starting school full time has been nerve wracking for me as a parent. However my mind has been put at ease following the brief but informative chat with Miss Hudson. I am over the moon at how quickly my daughter has settled in overall and made lots of friends. I am very proud of her conscientious approach to learning, her behaviour and attitude towards others and the way she conducts herself toward any religious study or formal setting. It is obvious to me that my daughter is being recognised for her efforts, has gotten to know her teachers well and is being fully supported by staff. I am very pleased overall.

All the teachers were excellent in explaining my kids progress, achievements and the academic reports that I received. I’m so impressed with all the teachings that they do, they are all amazing!!

Information was given in detail about my children's progress.

Were you able to share your child's work with them either on the evening (KS2) or at their Open Afternoon (EYFS/KS1) this week?

The open afternoon was a lovely way to share their learning, and the books being open and available for KS2 is nice to see our daughters work

I went to see the classroom environment and it’s so creative- full with of children’s learning.

Loved seeing their work but hard to get the time to do so with two other small children

As a working parent, 2:40 PM is a particularly difficult time for me to attend. If the session were at 9 AM, I could likely make arrangements at work and just be about an hour late. However, attending in the afternoon would require me to take half a day’s leave.

I attended open afternoon for my child in KS1 and paid a visit to my other child's classroom to share his work with him.

We looked at their books on the evening after the consultation and was lovely to see

Fantastic to see the progress in books and be able to see what our children are working on.

Yes - grandmother attended YR1 open afternoon due to our work commitments. Attended YR6 classroom in person

My daughter loves Mrs Fairfax she is such a lovely teacher. She is very approachable and you can tell how much she cares for the children. Shes a credit to the school.

I enjoyed the consultation afternoon but just the time management.

A longer time slot

Its difficult for me to find child care for parents evenings but other wise I'm happy.

Miss Carey is fantastic

I am very happy and proud of my daughters progress thus far. I am relieved she has settled in so well with so many new people and a new environment. I know that my daughter is very happy at school and she is always excited to do her homework of reading her reading book and practicing her phonics with the sound blending book. She works very hard practicing. We also try to read at least two extra books a week (which I have bought for reception age level ie: chip & kipper stories, or Reception or Level 1). We also have a small set of phonics practice cards that we will run through throughout the week. She is always eager to practice her writing so every evening she helps me write a list in her own notebook (shopping list, to do list, etc), I spell out the word by each letter and she will write it down letter by letter and then say the word and we will practise it together. She tries very hard at home with her learning and is always happy to keep going. Thank you to Miss Hudson for your time today, it is greatly appreciated.

It was lovely to hear how well my child has settled and we found the guidance about next steps for him really helpful.

Went really well, and was well organised

Thank you to staff for an informative evening! It is very loud in the hall and at times difficult to hear what the teachers were saying, so wondered if it would be beneficial to have each member of staff in their individual classrooms.

Thank you to the staff for their hard work and for putting specific things in place to support their needs.

Open afternoons difficult to attend if both parents are working. Would much prefer to share work with children during parents consultation evening. Also difficult to find childcare for parents consultation so that both parents can be involved in teacher discussion. Whole school text regarding parking not being available on bundle hill means no disabled parking provided for blue badge holders, excluding people unable to walk more than 50 metres without significant difficulty from attending school for this evening.

Thank you to Mrs Finnegan for taking the time to welcome us and chat with us throughout the evening. The school and classrooms look amazing. Staff work really hard.
