World Mission Month: “October is when Pope Francis asks every member of the Catholic community around the world to recognise themselves as a missionary disciple, working and praying together to share the joy peace, hope and love of God with everyone, everywhere. Schools are invited to join us in this worldwide celebration. They can join on any day of the month and for however long they want. All resources for the month are available to download from the Mission Together website: https://missiontogether.org.uk/calendar/missionmonth/
They include our popular Mission Month Calendar, Five Fact Assemblies on St. Therese of Lisieux, patroness of Mission and St. John Henry Newman, England’s newest saint.
Pupils are encouraged to pray the Rosary by following our online child-led Mission Rosary and to share with the world their hope and joy in the #MyMission #OurMission Activity.”
A message from Hagley High School:
Today, students helped to prepare for open morning by sharing some of their personal journeys at Hagley.
Places on the guided tours for open morning are filling up quickly. If you haven’t booked your visit for Saturday 10th October, please visit:
We look forward to welcoming you to our Hagley family.

Once again we will be supporting Operation Christmas Child. We join with thousands of other schools up and down the country in wrapping, packing and sending shoeboxes full of gifts – things like tooth brushes, hairbrushes, pens, pencils, something to write in, toys or games - to needy children around the world.
Our aim this year is to send 100 boxes to needy children but WE NEED YOUR HELP!
If every family could fill just one shoebox we would be well over this target!
Completed shoeboxes to be returned to school by MONDAY 2ND NOVEMBER—please don’t forget to include your £5 donation, in the envelope or online.
We hope that you will continue to help us support this amazing charity.
The Archbishop has appointed Fr Stefan Laszczyk to be Parish Priest of Our Lady and St Kenelm's.
Fr Stefan will take up residence in the Parish on 12th October. I'm sure you'll all make him very welcome and that he'll be very happy in Halesowen. 🙏🤗💕🌈😁
Father Gerry's is scheduled to celebrate Holy Mass with us for the last time on Sunday 11th October.
We give thanks for his service and prayers over the last 9 months. He saw us through not only the dark days and cold nights of winter but also through the darker bleaker times of spring and summer - months of lockdown, furlough, isolation, the closed Church and its reopening with restricted capacity. Times of sadness were endured as loved ones were lost and times of joy and hope with celebrations of the sacrament of baptism.
We learnt about the sufferings of children, the anxiety of their parents, together with the skills and compassion of the medical teams at the Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Thank you very much, Father Gerry.
On Thursday 1st October we are having a Dress Up as Disney Day. We are asking children to donate £1 for our Birmingham Children's Hospital collection.
Our kitchen has created some fabulous Disney themed grab bags for you to order through School Money!
What a great way to support a worthy cause.
