For World Book Day everyone comes to school dressed as their favourite book character!
It has to be a character from a book!
We are asking everyone who wants to take part to bring in an AGE APPROPRIATE BRAND NEW NON-FICTION BOOK on the day to help replenish our school library and help children research their Enquiry Based Learning questions.

On 13th February, Y5 joined with other Primary schools to rock Birmingham Town Hall at the Hagley Pyramid Concert. It was a long day with lots of rehearsing led by Mr Mallinson followed by the final concert.
We want to say how very proud we are of the way that all of the children conducted themselves throughout the day with their behaviour, manners and attitude. The concert was AMAZING and OLSK shone out, once again, as a hard act to follow.
Well done to all of the children in Y5 as well as Mr Hyde and Mrs Morris who helped to prepare the children beforehand.
A big thank-you to all of the staff and families who made it on the evening to support our children. I'm sure you will all agree that it was well worth the money.
We are now planning for the 2021 concert - Brit Pop!!
Today our NEW Digital Leaders (previously ICT wizards) introduced themselves to the school, sharing their promises of how they will support and lead computing at OLSK. The main theme of the assembly was Esafety and the DL’s planned and lead their own presentation and play to remind children of the SMART rules. Well done children for all your hard work and dedication to your role!

Safer Internet Day is on Tuesday 11th February.
Today Mrs F & the Mini Vinnies joined the SVP for coffee in Halesowen! The children shared all their fundraising ideas over a cuppa & a biscuit! Thank you to all who joined us for this wonderful occasion! The children were great ambassadors for our school; so proud of them all. 💕
Thank you Mr Foley for your support in walking us to the town! You’re our very own superhero 🦸♂️ 💕 🦸♂️
