Autumn

Today was our project day! We invited in other classes and our parents to see our amazing work. We also made our own Mayan games using coding on purple mash!

We have loved our art dat link to Dignity of the Human Person!

Our first session working with Matt on our Confirmation art work!

We had a fantastic day for Community Language Day. We were language leaders- helping other classes with different languages around school- then, we learnt some British Sign Language in the afternoon!

We are really enjoying fencing this term in PE!

In science today, we were testing the effects of exercise on our heart rates!

Today we had the honour of joining a live stream of prayer, reflection and viewing of the relics of our class saint- Saint Bernadette. We heard a recount of her life and joined in with praying the Rosary.

It was great to have a visit from the principal at Hagley to talk all things high school!

We love being active in our Wednesday PE lessons with Mr Benjamin

We had a great day of learning for our art day. We used clay and wire to create poppies ready for our Remembrance display.

We had a fantastic day at St Chad’s Cathedral learning all about the history of the Cathedral and the amazing people of God who have been part of its history. It has started our Sacrament of Confirmation learning in year 6!

We thoroughly enjoyed beginning our EBL topic of The Mayans by discovering their civilisation through VR!

Year 6 have been very reflective so far during our first Catholic Social Teaching week- Family and Community. We have been thinking about how to create a welcoming community for refugees, asylum seekers and people less fortunate than ourselves.
