Fun and engaging music education
Our music education at OLSK is based on the principle that it should be fun and engaging for all concerned, and that every child is a born musician. We believe that music is like magic and that it has a role to play in every aspect of all of our lives, wherever and whoever we are.
We follow Charanga’s Model Music Curriculum (MMC) which builds on skills to create a progressive curriculum. It broadly follows this model curriculum and provides teachers with activities and resources to support musical learning.
It provides teachers with a fun, holistic, differentiated, spiral approach to musical teaching and learning that is easy to use and ready to go.
Charanga’s new Model Music Curriculum places songs at the heart of each lesson, drawing out all of the elements of musical learning from interacting with those songs.
