Mary Stevens Hospice

Mary Stevens Hospice is our local hospice in Stourbridge which has been providing high quality care for people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses since 1991.

We work closely with members of the staff through our fundraising efforts which include non-uniform days and collections at the end of school events.

Y5 take part in our £5 enterprise challenge each year. Every child is given £5 and they have to organise an event or an activity to make that £5 into more.  Many children take the opportunity to set up a stall or a game at the Christmas fayre or Summer Ball.

Once all of the money is received, we split it between Mary Stevens Hospice and our own School Fund.  Last year, Y5 were able to raise almost £1,000.

As Mary Stevens Hospice is so close to our hearts as a school, individual children organise their own fundraising activities to raise money such as making and selling looms bands.

We loved taking part in the Reindeer Run and raised £462.00 for Mary Stevens!

We raise money for the hospice in many different ways including selling things at the Summer Ball
