How can we see God in our world?
In this geography driver, children will have opportunity to build on their prior Understanding of the World learning from Reception Class and the new Geography learning in Autumn 1 as we investigate our immediate local area around our school grounds.
They will deepen their understanding of compass directions and locational and directional language [e.g. near and far; left and right]. They will explore how to read simple maps, create their own maps and carry out fieldwork in their school environment.
Children will develop an understanding of how our actions impact on the whole of creation. They will be able to use their fieldwork to look at how they can improve their school environment, which will feed out into the wider world, working together to live sustainably in God’s world.
