Mary played a very special part in the plan of salvation.  Jesus came into the world to save us.  When He came to earth, Mary was his very special dwelling place for nine months.  Mary’s answer “yes,” to God's request, made possible the birth of Jesus and our salvation.

On Christmas, we honour the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.   Mary has a special place in our world and in our hearts and she is forever striving to bring about peace through her Son.

On the cross, as Jesus was dying, He gave His mother to us all.  Mary loves each one of us in a special way as only a mother can, and as the most perfect of all mothers. 

When Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Saint Juan Diego, she told him,

“Am I not here – I who am your mother?  Are you not under my shadow and protection?”

We must never be afraid to approach Mary as the Mother of God and as our mother also.  She is always waiting with open arms to welcome her children and to lead us close to her Son.

When our Pre School, Little Kenelm's opened in September 2020, they chose Our Lady to be their Patron Saint so that every child entering our school begins with Mary in their hearts.
