Leading Collective Worship

Today, we held our ‘Open Afternoon’ for parents to come and celebrate with their children. It was fabulous to see how excited they were to show off their hard work. They were very proud of themselves and we are too!

This week, we have been measuring mass using balancing scales. The children really enjoyed working practically to measure the mass of objects using unfix cubes.

We had a fun day in Year One on World Book Day! We dressed as our favourite book characters and visited our school library to choose a book to read at home. We also had enjoyed stories throughout the day!

We spent the afternoon in Forest School, creating ‘Land Art’ sculptures inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. We recognise how important nature and being outside is for our mental health.

We had a visit from the animal man today. Looking at animals with similarities to dinosaurs. What a great start to the week!

We had fun today on Number Day doing lots of practical maths activities.

Year 1 have been exploring ways of travelling in gymnastics using different body parts. We have also been practising pencil jumps, star jumps and tuck jumps! Such great fun!
