Spring 2- Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
How can I be a voice for those who are unheard or ignored?

Through enquiry learning, children will use varying skills from geography, science and literacy to explore the question ‘How can I be a voice for those who are unheard or ignored?’
In literacy, children will learn about the story of Jemmy Button as an example of marginalised people and will reason morally about this story.
In geography and science, they will study energy and how it is distributed around the world.
Through the learning covered and texts read during this half term, children will think about what actions can be taken to support the marginalised in society, to build a fairer world for us all.
As we journey through Lent, across each subject, children will reflect on the treatment of the poorer people in society and how we can work to support them.
