Autumn 2- How can we build strong communities based on Gospel Virtues?

Through enquiry learning, children will use varying skills from geography, science and literacy to explore the question, ‘How can we build strong communities based on Gospel Virtues?’

They will study through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, looking at ‘Family and Community’ and through studying our local area compared to an Alpine region in geography. Children will learn what makes a strong community and how we can build our communities in the way that Jesus taught us..

Children will build on their prior knowledge of physical and human features of an area. They will look at how people form a community and how this can be affected by external factors such as tourism and climate.

They will be able to explain what makes a strong community and will be able to know what Jesus wanted a community to be like.
