Summer 1– Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers
How can we challenge inequality in the world of work and support human dignity for all?

Through enquiry learning, children will use varying skills from history, science and RE to explore the question ‘How cam we challenge inequality in the world of work and support human dignity for all?’ They will study this through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, looking at ‘Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers’ and through studying significant figures from history.
Children will build on their prior learning of significant figures throughout history such as the suffragettes. They will study how people can have a positive impact on the world through standing up for their beliefs and for what is right. Children will work to answer the question ‘How can we challenge inequality in the world of work and support human dignity for all?’ They will understand how each of us has the power to change the world we live in and will look at practical ways in which we can do this.
