These can be emailed to tpawelczyk@our-lady.dudley.sch.uk

Thank you!

Leavers Book!

As we approach the final term of Y6(!), I am beginning to put together a Leavers' Book for the children that will have some memories of their time in school in.

These will be able to be purchased nearer the time so that we can have Astley Burf and Confirmation photos in and are made to order- last year they were £10.99. I have a copy of last years' book if you would like to see an example.

Regardless of whether you intend to purchase the book, can you please email me some photos that you would like included- this includes individual photos of your child both young and now as well as any group photos you may have of them with their friends from class.

If you could email any photos to me over the coming weeks, I can begin to put the book together- jhyde@our-lady.dudley.sch.uk

Many thanks

Mr Hyde :)

Revision-

We have 6 weeks access to an online resource called Maths.co.uk, on here, children can complete online maths tests in the style of SATs papers for each area of maths.

The results will feedback to us in school so that we know what to keep working on in class.

We strongly encourage children to have a go at the tests as part of ongoing revision at home to help them prepare for SATs!

Your child will have their own username and password that they have been given- if you require another copy, please let me know!

SATs Boosters After Christmas

After Christmas, we will begin after school SATs booster sessions on a Monday and Tuesday from 3.15-4.15These are free of charge and optional, children can attend both or just 1 or can flexibly attend based on the week.

The sessions will be focussed interventions aimed at revising and practising previously taught content and we will alternate the sessions between maths and literacy.

We strongly encourage attendance if possible! Children are welcome to bring a snack and must be collected at 4.15, they cannot walk home alone due to dark nights in January.

Sessions will begin on Monday 6th January and will run every week until SATs.

IMPORTANT- RSHE CURRICULUM

The Life to the Full programme is based on the structure of ‘A Model Catholic RSE Curriculum’ by the Catholic Education Service. This model curriculum was highlighted as a work of good practice by the Department of Education so we therefore have confidence that the programme will be fit for purpose in supporting the growth and development of your child.

Life to the Full is much more than a series of lessons. It is an entire platform of creative resources that will engage, inform and inspire our children and, indeed, you as parents. This includes interactive video content, story-based activities, employing a wide range of teaching tools, original worship music and an accompanying programme of classroom prayers.

In addition, there will be an online parent platform so that you, as parent and carers, can engage with the teaching and deepen the experience for your child.

To access the online parent platform please visit: www.tentenresources.co.uk/parent-portal

As part of our subscription to "Life to the Full", all parents will be able to access the Online Parent Portal with the following login credentials:

We know that you already do a fantastic job and we see our new programme, Life to the Full, as a means to further develop, support and enrich the partnership between home, school and church so that your child is fully supported.

This half term we will be going through Module 1 Units 2-4

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
