We will also extend our knowledge of a non-European society that provides contrasts with British history by exploring the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and its cultural and historical impact.
Our geographical skills will also be revisited, progressed and utilised throughout this topic by identifying where each Ancient Wonder was/ is in accordance its position and significance of latitude, longitude, Equator, Northern Hemisphere, Southern Hemisphere and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn through the use of maps and atlases. We will also compare how ancient civilisations used the land to create trade links and economic activity and compare it to that of communities today.
