This is a practical activity and the children will need to use equipment to support their learning.

Children in school will be using Base 10 - but at home, you could use chocolate fingers or lego strips to represent 'tens' and small beads or Tic Tac sweets to represent 'ones.'

Coins - 10p coins and 1p coins can be used as well.

Independent Work:

You do not need to print the worksheet. Record your written work in the exercise book provided.

Questions 1-6 for all pupils.

Questions 7 and 8 are GREATER DEPTH/CHALLENGE QUESTIONS.

There is also an optional True or False Question - you must explain your reasoning.

Literacy

The first part of todays's lesson is live on TEAMS so join us if you can. Today's literacy lesson looks at how we can develop our descriptive writing. We are going to be choosing nouns and adjectives to describe the pictures of Iceland.

Independent Tasks:

1. Spellings

2. Nouns List

3. Adjectives to describe the Nouns

Greater Depth

Using a thesaurus - can you find even more interesting adjectives?

P.E.

Please join us on TEAMS for today's session led by Mrs Shepherd (Y4 TA).
