Friday 8th May celebrates the 75th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day. It marks the day on which the allied forces announced the surrender of Germany on Europe on May 8th 1945. It marked the end of Adolf Hitler’s reign of terror and was cause for a huge celebration around the world!
Before COVID-19 changed our lives, many events were planned to celebrate this momentous event. Just because this cannot happens now, does not stop us from celebrating together with the nation and our own families at home.
The events that were cancelled are now hopefully taking place in August to commemorate VE and VJ (Victory in Japan) days so we’ll keep everything crossed that they will be able to go ahead!
