Why do people choose to go to Mediterranean Countries for their holidays?
In this geography driver, we will be exploring the geography and history curriculum through the stunning Mediterranean Region. As geographers, we will extend our knowledge of Europe and compare both human and physical geography in the Mediterranean with UK destinations. We will investigate some of the most significant human and physical features of the Mediterranean and look in depth at the climate zones, types of settlement and economic activity across this region; all the while developing a firm understanding of why it such a popular tourist area. We will further develop our geographical skills and fieldwork by using maps, atlases and digital computer mapping, to locate the Mediterranean, while drawing sketch maps with symbols and keys to build our knowledge of the wider world!
Through revisiting and progressing our skills and learning, these golden nuggets of knowledge will be embedded in our long term memories!
